Ferrell & Barker’s approach on architectural design is to involve the client with their ideas and needs into the designing experience. From beginning to end of the design process our architect will work with you to bring your ideas to life.

The services our architect can bring to you include the following: Programming, Schematic design, Design development, Construction Documents, Bidding & Construction administration.

Programming
The programming phase of a project includes the first initial meeting with the client. At this time our client and architect will sit down together to discuss the project you have in mind. Outline what our client is trying to achieve and set goals to meet that objective.  Also at this time we will set forth our Owner-Architect agreement.

Schematic Design
After the initial meeting with our architect we will then put together a schematic study that interprets the project based on the information discussed in the programming stage. At this point the client will meet with our architect again and define exactly what they want. At this point we are able to experiment with different ideas to make sure our architect and client are on the same page.

Design Development
At this stage in our process our architect will detail out the plan, prepare a system analysis and specification outline with an itemized list of building materials. Our architect and client will continue to meet and go over the project and make any changes. At this point our architect can design the final drawing for client approval.

Construction Documents
This phase consists of finalizing the design documents for the purpose of bidding and construction. 

Bidding
When we reach the bidding part of your project we will then put you with another member of our team who specializes in this area. We will work diligently to get you a price and make sure everything is in order. This means contacting any other agencies that may be involved that could halt the project. 

Construction Administration
At this stage we will sign a building contract. Once a building contract is signed Ferrell & Barker will lead you step by step in the construction process. We have hands on owner’s who will be in charge of each project and assist you with anything that may come up.
